Transcript: 9/11 - Never Forget

Welcome tonight. I'm, uh, Jim Perrin, and this is the Public Perspective. Now tonight we're gonna talk about the— the focus of tonight's perspective is the 25th anniversary of 9/11, which I'm taping this on 9/11, actually, in 2026, on a Friday. And it's been 25 years today since that horrific Islamic terror attack on our country. So I want to know, where were you? Do you remember where you were? Where were you on the day the world stopped turning, that September day? I think I stole that from Alan Jackson. But now, 2,877 people, I believe, lost their lives that day, Americans. And it's not just the 2,877 people. It affected hundreds of thousands of people. They estimate about 3 times that many have gotten sick and died or have cancer and illnesses related to that day and the weeks after in the cleanup from breathing the toxic air. People have all kinds of cancer cases and all kinds of other medical respiratory problems and whatnot. So it affected Literally thousands of people, and I'm going to say hundreds of thousands of people because there's people who, who lost fathers, who lost mothers. There's people who lost brothers and sisters. There's people who lost grandchildren, grandkids. They lost cousins. They lost neighbors. They lost friends and other relatives. Just about everybody has a story of Knowing somebody, at least knows somebody who was affected by this Islamic terror attack. And we'll talk more about that later. But if you're old enough like I am to remember where you were that day, you also remember watching it and watching those towers get struck and watching the towers come down. And it was a horrific scene. Watching those towers come down. At first it was confusing because when I saw the first one on fire, that's when I tuned in and nothing— the second one hadn't hit yet. And I watched the video live of the second one hitting the tower and I saw both towers come down and I thought, what hell those people are going through right there. That, that's one part of 9/11, of the commemorative 25th year anniversary of it today. I want to also talk about Flight 93, United Flight 93. That's the one that crashed in Pennsylvania. That was Todd Beamer. Everybody knows his name. And there was another guy, Mike— Mark Bingham, I believe, on that flight as well, and a bunch of other guys that I don't recall all their names, but they went ahead and decided to take their fate into their own hands, and they charged the cockpit and took over the plane, and it ultimately crashed in Pennsylvania, as we know. But all reports claim that it was headed either to the Capitol or even perhaps the White House. So they lost their lives heroically. What courage it must have took to do that. But they also probably saved many lives if that had hit. Then there was another flight, Flight 77, the one that crashed into the Pentagon. And that day I had a— my daughter-in-law was in that, was in the Pentagon that day. She was working as an intern. I won't tell you what agency she was working for, but she was working, uh, as an intern that day. Now, nothing happened to her. She's fine. She's still with us today, and nothing happened. And matter of fact, she's given us, uh, several grandkids that we can be— we can be proud of. So I, um, I, I—

I also want to tell you that the media, and especially teachers and left-wing kook jobs, are trying to rewrite history here, trying to tell us that it wasn't any big deal. They're teaching the young kids that, that weren't there to see what happened, they're teaching them a new history, like, oh, it wasn't that big a deal, a couple planes. crashed into a couple buildings. Not a big— nothing to see here. Matter of fact, in Virginia just this week, the Virginia school boards across the state told the teachers— the teachers and the teachers union told them, the teachers, not to equate Islamic terrorism with 9/11, did not associate the two.

So see, they're teaching kids false history, lies. It was Islamic terrorism is what it was, plain and simple. People who hate this country want to destroy this country, and they're still here, and they're alive as well, and well in this country right now. And we're going to talk about the midterms a little bit coming up in the next segment, but that's the, the crux. That's that the fact that they're still here and and thriving in this country is quite disgusting to me. So the media's got to get their act together and start, start reporting the right things, because what happened on 9/11 should never be forgotten. It should always be remembered and taught with accurate information to the young kids growing up, and they should know. And parents, if you're out there and you know what went on because you were there. It's your job and your responsibility to teach your kids and their kids that are coming up the history, the true history of 9/11. And that's why we commemorate that, the 2,877 souls that were lost that day. Now, like I said, I'm taping this on 9/11, Friday, 9/11.

But I also want to talk about yesterday. That was, uh, 9/10, and that was the 1-year anniversary of a guy named Charlie Kirk. And everybody, you know his name. Everybody does, whether you hated him or didn't or loved him. Everybody knows him. He, um, with Turning Point USA. And see, Charlie, he was a He was a fighter. He, um, was assassinated, uh, a year ago yesterday by a guy named Tyler Robinson. And I'm supposed to say alleged, allegedly. Okay, whatever. Here's the sad part. The trial hasn't even started. They've had all the preliminary hearing, this and that. The lawyers have been jockeying around. It's a year later and the trial hasn't even started for Tyler Robinson. The man accused of killing Charlie Kirk. Okay. He admits it on tape. He admits it on his texts and everything with his, with his lover boyfriend and whatnot. So we know he did it, but the trial hasn't even started yet. It seems like when Democrats are on trial for anything bad, the courts just go slow, slow, slow, slow. They, they just take their, take their sweet time about it. Not like J6, January 6th. No, sir. Those grandma and grandpas were rounded up within, within a few days, tried within a few days, and sent to prison within a couple weeks. Yeah, for trespassing. So it seems to be a one-sided thing. Thanks to the— again, Thanks to the media carrying water for these radical left-wing kooks. They're, they're crazy people, and we'll talk more about that too. And then not just tonight, but in the upcoming, uh, shows. So, uh, I can't even believe that the trial has even started. But Charlie was a— like I said, he was a fighter. He, um, He believed this country was worth saving. He believed in Christian values that founded this country. He believed in it. He believed everybody was equal and everybody had a chance to achieve the American dream. And so many kids are being taught in these academia and in these college campuses, their professors are communists and they're teaching them that how America is a terrible racist, terrible, awful place. Even though more people try to get into our country than any other nation in the world and have for 200 years. So Charlie was, uh, was courageous. He went behind enemy lines, if you will. He went right to these campuses and he held rallies, and he would be the first one, the first one to give the mic over to somebody who disagreed. So he could hear and debate them, their point of view. He believed in civil discourse. He believed in conversation. See, the left, they don't believe in conversation. They believe that in—

You need to be obedient and toe the company line and be under control, their control, their power. That's what the leftists do. That's what the Democrats believe. So Charlie, um, like I said, he was just one of a kind, and it's, uh, sad. And he was probably the biggest advocate in trying to defeat communists and the, the Democrat Socialists of America before anyone even heard of them. Charlie was on the front lines doing that, trying to turn the minds and inform the young kids because they're uninformed today. They listen to TikTok, they listen to Facebook, they listen— that's where they get their news, okay? And it's sad because TikTok was not around on 9/11, 2001. TikTok wasn't there. So TikTok doesn't know. All these young people who think they know what they're talking about have no idea what they're talking about. So I'm gonna go ahead and, and I want, uh, I hope you pray for, for Charlie Kirk, and I hope you pray for his wife Erica and their children, because, um, that was a A horrific thing that happened to him. Like I said, um, I'm going to talk more about 9/11 and whatnot when I come back from the break. But right now I'm gonna go to break. And, uh, they, they're— they relate to both, uh, they're emotional, heartfelt videos, and they relate to the topic Um, that I'm talking about 9/11 and Charlie Kirk. They told us never forget. Oh, but look at us now. Never forget, that's what we said. The names of towers The missing in battle, heroes running where angels fear. The sound of it all ringing in our ears. Now we fight each other, truth gets bought. We lost the lessons we were taught. 25 years down the road, we've forgotten what we swore we'd never forget. We used to know what freedom cost. Now we're too divided to count what's lost. Traded conviction for a glowing screen. Lost our faith somewhere between. Some say leave that past alone. I'm not ready to move on. Never forget, that's what we say. The names, the towers, the missing and dead. Heroes running where angels fear. The sound of it all ringing in our ears. Now we fight each other, truth gets bought. We lost the lessons we were taught. 25 years down the road, we've forgotten what we swore we'd never forget. Remember the lies. Remember the planes, remember the phone calls, remember the names. Remember the widows, the daughters and sons. Remember the day we remembered we were one. So never forget. Don't just say the words. Never forget. Remember our freedoms really were. Raise up the flag, get down and pray. Tell your kids what happened that day. Never forget. Never forget.

Hey, welcome back from the break. I hope you enjoyed those. I truly do. Now I want to talk about the midterms a little bit. All right. Because now, if you're not paying attention, the Republicans had the first ever— Donald Trump organized And he had the first ever down in Dallas, Texas. They had the first ever midterm convention, Republican convention. It's never been done before, as he likes to say. No one's ever seen anything like it. And it was, it was very good. They did it for, on, on Wednesday and Thursday. And a lot of tributes yesterday to Charlie Kirk and whatnot. And, but it was mostly a push to get out the vote. Because it's important we get out and vote. Otherwise, bad things are going to happen in this country. The Democratic Socialists of America, the communists, are coming for this country whether you like it or not. They are here and they are coming, and there's a bunch of races, and we've got to get out and hold the line. Now, I know you might not want to get out and vote. You might say, well, Trump's not on the ballot. Okay, I get it. You might even say that I don't like what's going on over in Iran. Okay, I don't like it either. What's the alternative though? Think about it. What's the alternative? Let them have a nuclear warhead, nuclear bomb? What do you think they would do to Israel? What do you think they would do to us next if they could? And the other people in the region. It would be an unstable area if they were allowed to have a nuclear weapon. They would annihilate Israel. They would unleash them all over the world if they could. That's just a fact. So Trump did something that no other president for 47 years had the nerve, the balls, the guts to do. He didn't kick the can down the road like the rest of them, okay? He's a tough, tough cookie, Donald Trump. And so you might not like that, so you might say, I don't want to vote, he promised us no forever wars. Well, he also just promised, if you watch the convention, that after the midterms the war will be over one way or the other. So I don't know if you read the tea leaves, but either they're gonna come to a screeching halt with their economy and go belly up, or we're just going to eliminate them and really bomb the hell out of them and be done with it. So I, I do believe Trump. And the gas prices, you're also— people are bitching about gas prices and food prices are high and gas prices and inflation. Do you forget when Joe Biden was in office? Don't tell me you forgot. Gas prices were historic highs when Joe Biden— they hadn't been that high since Jimmy Carter, another great Democrat president. The food prices were high when Donald Trump took office. They were— the eggs I was paying out of my grocery store, and I'm not lying one bit, were $7.19. You know what they are today, the same eggs? $1.99. That's a fact. Now, I know all prices haven't come down, all groceries, because there's people still out gouging us. And the gas prices aren't going to come down. You notice when the oil market— the oil barrels of oil go down, you'll notice that the gas prices don't go down. But when the oil goes up, oh, the gas prices shoot up the very next day. Isn't that amazing? They tell you that it's— oh, the oil was already in the ground, that's why that's expensive oil, so we got to raise the price up to cover that. When the oil comes down, that oil in the ground was the cheap oil, so it shouldn't go up right away, it should go down. It shouldn't stay the same. But that's the oil cartels, and I hope Trump's going to get away from that. And because we're energy independent. But the thing is, the United States doesn't set the price of oil. A lot of people think they do. They don't. Donald Trump doesn't do it. Even Gavin Newsom, blowhard, he doesn't even do it out in California, even though he has regulations and taxes that make it higher than anywhere else in the country. And he blames Donald Trump for it, for his taxes and his regulations. But that's another story. So you don't want to get out and vote because you don't like this or this and this. Listen, the alternatives, if you really think about it, are not good. And I don't like everything that's going on. I, I wish everything was rosy as well. I want to— I, I, I believe we should pay $1.89 for gas a gallon. And I also believe Donald Trump will get us there if we let him. If we Just get out of his way. If Congress would just grow some balls, the Republicans, and start working together and quit fighting each other and splitting their vote, because the Democrats are all united. They are all— other than maybe John Fetterman every now and then, they are pretty much united. And no, because they have Trump derangements in them.

they don't care about the country. What they care about is their power. And so they're going to block Trump no matter what. Which brings me, you know, the convention. It was a, it was a great, great show. I watched tons and tons of it. They also, the Democrats, and I watched, I saw pieces of it. I didn't really watch it, but I saw some clips. They had a, um, counter, I think they called it a counter convention. Where they talked about their vision, except it wasn't their vision. They didn't talk about anything positive, anything that would help average Americans, that would help you or me or help any of their constituents. They didn't talk about any of that. All they could talk about— and I've seen clip after clip— all they could talk about is how Trump's on the ballot. Act like Trump's on the ballot. We gotta beat Trump. Trump's not on the ballot. You're not gonna beat Trump. He's gonna be president for the next 2 years. Okay, get over it. He's president for the next 2 years. Ain't a thing you can do about it. All right, so get over it. But all it was that all they have is bash Trump. He's Trump, orange man bad. He's bad. He's done. He's ruining democracy. You do it. That's all they have. They don't have any ideas of their own. They don't have any fresh ideas. At least the Democrat socialists have good ideas. They want to give away free everything— free food, free housing, free healthcare. You know what that means? That means no private healthcare anymore. That means the government takes over your healthcare.

That means you don't have any choice. They decide and assign you a provider and a healthcare provider. They also decide what kind of service you get. They also decide when you get it and how often you get it. They decide all of that, and it's a disaster. And if you don't believe me, just go ahead and do some research on, on the VA. the Veterans Administration, the hospitals there for our vet— for our military veterans, and see the waiting lines and the long, long lines and the people who are dying and committing suicide because the, the, the VA hospitals do not take care of them properly because they— all this red tape and crap. That's your government-run healthcare. That's what's coming. That's what's on the ballot. this election. So you better shape up and listen to it. And this free housing is a dream, and free food— there's no free food. First of all, what they're going to do is they're going to seize production, which means they're going to put all the mom-and-pop grocery stores and all the— even some of the bigger grocery stores, the chain grocery stores— they're going to take them over. They're going to seize production, and they're going to give you Much better prices on the food. Oh yeah, it's going to be way cheaper. You'll be able to afford everything, not a problem. The problem is you'll be allowed one steak per month per family. You'll be allowed this or that. They'll tell you what you can or cannot eat, when you can eat it, how much you can eat. That sounds like something you want? Hey, vote Democrat. Knock yourself out. People in the audience. Anyways, we need to stop these, uh, Islamic socialists is what they are, like Al-Saeed and, and all these DSA candidates that are running. We, we've got to get out the vote and we've got to hold the House and hold the Senate. Now I want to go to Mondani. 9/11 families and victims of 9/11 that had the memorial service today in New York, they begged, literally begged, uh, Zohran Mondami to stay home. Please don't come. Show a little respect, okay? Because he's trashed America. He's trashed— he's nothing, no big deal, 9/11. And how about all the thousands of Muslims that were killed in over an Afghan— It was about 9/11 today, and they begged him to stay home. Don't come, please, out of respect. What'd he do? Of course he showed up. He showed up with AOC, another beauty. I can't even repeat the name I would call her right now. I can't even say it in this microphone because I'd be bleeped out. But anyways, they were caught, and that's on tape, and you can see they're already calling it GiggleGate. But they were on there while grown men were crying, and they were reading the victims' names of that day, the 2,877 that died that day. The first responders, the firefighters, all them, the paramedics that died that day. And they were reading those off, and, and Mandami and AOC were telling jokes, smiling and laughing, thought the whole thing was real, real funny. And that is so classless and tasteless and disgraceful. Words don't even begin. I, I'm surprised someone didn't come in and grab the little weasel by his neck and choke him. That's what I might have done if I was there, to be honest with you. But it's just so, so disrespectful. And then this is what But to hell with New York. They're, they're done. They're, they're beyond hope. That city's gone. Okay, if you gotta— if you're listening to me and you live in New York, get out. Get the hell out of there. Because if you're listening to me, then you don't— then you don't really believe in what Zoran Mondani is doing. Get the hell out of there. And by the way, here's another stupid thing. 3/4 3/4, 3/4 of the Jewish people in New York City voted for this guy. 3/4 of them. He hates Jews. Do you not? What part don't you not get? He hates Israel. He hates Jerusalem. He hates Jews. He hates you. And you voted for him to be controlling in your life.

That's some kind of stupid. No wonder why the Holocaust happened to you, because they were— you're stupid. That is dumb. So I, I just— I'm gonna leave it there with this, the city of New York. I just, um, I also want to point out that we need to, um, say prayers for all the people that were lost on, uh, on that day, but not just for them. We need to Honor and, and say a prayer for all the people who died protecting this country before 9/11. And we need to honor and respect and say a prayer for all the people who, who died on 9/11. And we need to also say a prayer for the people who have died in protecting this nation and the first responders and military and Firefighters and, and all, all that who have died since 9/11. So that's what people do in this country. That's what first responders do. That's what police do. They're here to keep us safe. That's what the military does. They're here to keep us safe. That's the firefighters. They run into burning buildings when people are running away. They run too. The danger. And I know you've heard that before, and it's an old cliché, but it happens to be true. So it can be as old a cliché and sound silly and corny and whatever you think, but it happens to be true. It is true. They run toward danger. They run to help people. That's what they do. So when you get pulled over by a cop and you're pissed off because Because he gave you a speeding ticket. Well, slow down, okay? But he'd be the first one if there's gunfire to throw his body in front and protect you. So you might want to keep that in mind next time you're defunding the police and defunding ICE. And, uh, don't get me started on the illegal immigrants tonight because I don't even want to talk about them or give them their time of due because I think it's a sacred day. So I'm gonna go ahead and wrap it up tonight. And I just, uh, like I said, get out and vote. It is so important that we hold this country and its values. And if you're young people, listen, get informed. Inform yourselves. Don't get all your news from all these other sources. Be informed. Learn. Use intelligence. Make decisions on informed information. Become knowledgeable. Don't just take somebody's word for it or, or what the common trend is on, on, on the internet. That's not how you use your brain. That's not the— that's just not the way people are supposed to live and think. You're supposed to think for yourselves, and you're supposed to Make decisions, but on— with credible, informed information. That's how you make decisions and become successful in life and become a successful citizen of the United States. I want to go ahead and, uh, like I said, pray for all those people who, who, who have died and who have died in the line of duty. Um, we either military or police or firefighters Any kind of paramedics or first responders of any sort, go ahead and take a step back today and, um, remember those lives lost and those souls lost.
